A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed in Sacramento early Sunday morning — and the scene does not add up.

Sacramento’s ShotSpotter acoustic gunshot detection system activated on Taylor Street. Two rounds detected. Officers responded to Taylor Street. No victim was found there.

The 16-year-old male was found on Wisconsin Avenue — unresponsive, eyes rolling back, no pulse. A completely different street. You have to cross the East Levy to get between those two locations. They are not close.

Someone Moved That Boy

As a Licensed Private Investigator with 25 years of PI experience and over 10 years in law enforcement, I am telling you — someone moved that boy.

Callers on open lines with dispatch were heard in the background telling someone to drive. Witnesses reported vehicles leaving the scene in a hurry. The evidence points in one direction: this teenager was shot near Taylor Street, placed into a vehicle, and driven to Wisconsin Avenue.

That gap between where ShotSpotter activated and where the victim was found is not a coincidence. It is a critical piece of this investigation — and it changes how detectives have to work this case.

Church Surveillance Cameras Could Be the Key

There is a church on Wisconsin Avenue, right next to where the victim was found. It has security cameras. Officers on the scanner requested a response to that church specifically to pull surveillance footage.

That camera may have captured everything — who was there, what happened, and who drove away. It could be the single most important piece of evidence in this investigation.

Air One, Code 3, and Angry Family Members on Scene

Sacramento Police Air One was overhead during the response — and it was Air One that located the victim, spotting him up against a fence on the south side of the street. Sacramento Fire responded Code 3, lights and sirens. Twin Rivers PD was called in to help secure the perimeter.

Multiple callers had open lines with dispatch. Angry family members arrived on scene. Officers shut down Wisconsin Avenue. Through all of it — no suspect description. None.

At this hour, no arrests have been made. Sacramento Police Department homicide detectives are actively working this case.
