A high-speed police chase through a Sacramento neighborhood ended in a hours-long barricaded suspect standoff on Seavy Circle on Sunday afternoon — a tense scene that Lance The PI covered live from the street as it unfolded in the Land Park area of Sacramento. In a dramatic conclusion, Sacramento SWAT deployed a drone inside the residence to locate the suspect, who was ultimately found hiding in the bathtub. The incident began when a suspect led Sacramento Police on a high-speed chase through a residential neighborhood before stopping at his own home in the 200 block of Seavy Circle. Rather than surrendering, the suspect barricaded himself inside the residence, triggering a full Sacramento SWAT response. Officers surrounded the home and established a perimeter as the standoff stretched on for several hours.

After hours of negotiations failed to produce a surrender, Sacramento SWAT moved to breach the residence. Tactical teams broke open the front door and front windows to gain entry. Once inside access was established, SWAT deployed a drone into the interior of the home — a tactical tool used to locate and monitor a suspect without putting officers directly in the line of fire. The drone located the suspect inside the bathroom.
To visually confirm the suspect's exact position, SWAT broke out the bathroom window and inserted a camera mounted on a pole — a standard tactical tool that allows officers to see inside a room from a safe exterior position. The camera confirmed the suspect was hiding inside the bathtub. This is the kind of real-time tactical detail that Lance The PI, a Licensed California Private Investigator with 25 years of investigative experience and a decade in law enforcement, is uniquely positioned to explain to viewers as it happens on scene.
Near the end of the standoff, a loud explosion was heard from inside the residence. At this time it has not been confirmed whether the blast was a gunshot fired by the suspect or a flash bang deployed by SWAT as part of the tactical entry. The explosion preceded the end of the standoff.
The suspect was subsequently removed from the residence and placed on a gurney by medical personnel. He was transported from the scene by ambulance. The nature and extent of any injuries were not immediately confirmed. Sacramento Police have not yet released the identity of the suspect or formal charges.
