A Sacramento man is dead following a stabbing in the 2800 block of Atlas Avenue, and Sacramento Police confirm there is no suspect in custody. The homicide is the latest violent incident to rock the Sacramento area, adding to a string of cases being tracked by Lance The PI News as part of our ongoing coverage of Sacramento crime news.
On Thursday, June 25, 2026, just before 10:30 PM, officers with the Sacramento Police Department responded to reports of a stabbing on Atlas Avenue. Responding officers located an adult male suffering from at least one puncture wound. Officers administered emergency medical aid until the Sacramento Fire Department arrived on scene and transported the victim to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Due to the circumstances of the incident, Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators took over the investigation. Detectives processed the scene, collected evidence, and interviewed witnesses. As of this report, the circumstances surrounding the stabbing remain under active investigation and no suspect information has been released.
